  • At Chicago Cutlery, utilized JIT (Lean Manufacturing) techniques to reduce inventory by 92%, floor space requirements by 51%, and product throughput times by 91%
  • At McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company, implementation of a pull system for composite structural components reduced throughput times from 49.6 days to 13 days, and WIP inventory by 92%.

• Authored and co-authored several articles, including:
  • Co-authored Using JIT to Reduce Leadtime and Inventory with client in Purchasing World in August 1987
  • Authored Just In Time as a Strategic Weapon in Manufacturing Systems Magazine July 1988
  • Authored an article on preparing for successful JIT / Lean manufacturing called The Calm Before the Storm in October 1989 issue of P&IM Review
• Authored Chapter on Just In Time Manufacturing in Tool & Manufacturing Engineers Handbook in 1988 and again in 1989
